Who these terms are between

These terms are between you and Aarambh Labs, Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India, the maker of OMO. They apply when you use the OMO app or any OMO service, whether you are a resident, a committee member or a guard.

Your account

You sign in with your mobile number and a one time password. Keep your number and your device secure, because anyone who can receive your OTP can see your flat's data. Tell your committee or write to us at once if you lose the number or the device. Your society decides which flat and which role your number is attached to.

What OMO is, and what it is not

OMO is software that helps your society run itself. Maintenance amounts, due dates, late fees, penalties and society rules are set by your society, not by OMO. If you disagree with an amount, that is a conversation with your committee. OMO shows you the working behind the number, it does not decide the number.

Payments

When you pay through OMO, the money is passed to your society through a licensed payment gateway and a receipt is issued to you with the transaction reference. A payment is treated as complete only when the gateway confirms it. Gateway charges, where they apply, are passed through at cost. Residents are never charged a fee for using OMO, and OMO takes no commission on maintenance collections.

Fair use

• Do not use OMO to harass, threaten or abuse other residents, committee members, guards or vendors.
• Do not try to access another flat's data, another role's screens, or any part of the system you have not been given.
• Do not upload unlawful content, and do not use the gate log or resident directory for marketing.
• Do not attempt to break, scrape or reverse engineer the service.

We can suspend access that breaks these rules, and we will tell the committee when we do.

Availability

We work hard to keep OMO running, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error free service. Parts of OMO are in beta. There will be maintenance windows, and there may be outages at the payment gateway, the network or the app store that are outside our control.

Decisions stay with people

OMO drafts notices, suggests categories, flags dues and prepares approvals. Decisions about money, vendors and entry at the gate stay with the committee and the guard. A draft is never sent, and an expense is never approved, without a human acting on it.

Liability

To the extent Indian law allows, Aarambh Labs is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the subscription fees the society paid us for the month in which the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending the agreement

A society may stop using OMO at any time, effective at the end of the billing month, with no cancellation fee. On request we hand over the society's records in a readable export. We may end the agreement if fees go unpaid or if the service is misused.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Indore, Madhya Pradesh have jurisdiction.
